Snow!! A Dream Come True!

Today it started snowing at about 2:45, while we were at our lockers at school. WE looked outside and little ice balls (sleet) started falling from the sky. We were all so exited! When our bus was called, they announced it started snowing! On the bus it looked at the snow surrounding the bus and everyone was super exited. When we got off the bus, all our neighbors were outside and playing in it. The snow lasted for about an hour (a new record) and it at some points snowed pretty hard. It was a dream come true! How Smart is Your Right Foot? Try This- It Really Works!

HOW SMART IS YOUR RIGHT FOOT?

You have to try this please, it takes 2 seconds. I could not believe this!!! It is from an orthopedic surgeon............ This will boggle your mind and you will keep you trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but, you can't. It's pre-programmed in your brain!

1. Without anyone watching you (they will think you are GOOFY......) and while sitting at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number 6 in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction. I told you so!!! And there's nothing you can do about it! You and I both know how stupid it is, but before the day is done you are going to try it again, if you've not already done so.

Send it to your friends to frustrate them too :)

Magical Optical Illusion :)

I found this optical illusion on the Web. Brianne recently got a Magic Kit and the optical illusions inside amazed me. If you kinda look to the side it works really well.

Bri's Ears!

Brianne got her ears pierced on Saturday for her 8th birthday. I brought my camera so I could post on my Blog.

I interviewed Brianne before she got her ears pierced, when we were in the car.

I also videotaped her getting them pierced. It was really sad seeing her get teary-eyed.

What do you think?

Caitlin and I are getting cell phone for Christmas. We are going to use AT&T. Caitlin and I cannot decide which phone to get. We like the AT&T Quickfire Phone, and we also like the Pantech Matrix. Please help us! Post a comment telling us which one to get, or recommend us a phone for AT&T.

We want a phone that we can text easily, mainly with a QWERTY keyboard. We also want a phone that needs no specific plan like the Blackberry's.

First Up: The Pantech Matrix!

This awesome phone slides up and to the side.

Cool convertible design! The Pantech Matrix is perfect for messaging. With dual slide out keypads, MP3 music player, and XM radio it will keep you entertained on the go. Snap photos on the 1.3 MP camera and go wireless with Bluetooth® capabilities.

Here is the link for it:

Now, The AT&T Quickfire!

This touch screen phone is awesome for texting!

Lay your hands on the new Quickfire and its interactive touch screen and you'll discover you can check email, listen to music and watch videos all with a few simple taps of your finger. With 3G connection speeds, accessing the Internet anywhere, anytime will never be a problem. Can't get enough texting? The Quickfire's easy-to-use slide out QWERTY keyboard makes quick work of messaging.

Here is the link for it:

Now it's YOUR job to help us decide! Post a comment and tell us which one you think we should get.

An interesting Video I recived...

I got this email from my friend. I think it is really interesting. Here is the message that was attached:

I never realized that a wet dishcloth can be a one size fits all lid to cover a fire in a pan! This is a dramatic video (30-second, very short) about how to deal with a common kitchen fire ... oil in a frying pan. Read the following Introduction, then watch the video ... It's a real eye-opener!! At the Fire Fighting Training school they would demonstrate this with a deep fat fryer set on the fire field. An instructor would don a fire suit and using an 8 oz cup at the end of a 10 foot pole toss water onto the grease fire. The results got the attention of the students. The water, being heavier than oil, sinks to the bottom where it instantly becomes superheated. The explosive force of the steam blows the burning oil up and out. On the open field, it became a thirty foot high fireball that resembled a nuclear blast. Inside the confines of a kitchen, the fire ball hits the ceiling and fills the entire room. Also, do not throw sugar or flour on a grease fire. One cup of either creates the explosive force of two sticks of dynamite.

Great Job Caitlin!

So today was when we figured out if we made it to become Class Representative, and we had to wait until 2:00 today. I was very exited to hear Caitlin's name first, after all the hard work she has committed into making posters, campaign items, and helping me with mine. I was disappointed when I didn't hear my name, but I was happy for Caitlin. Great Job Caite! I thought at first Caitlin and I had a chance, because we were the only girls running and there was a few boys running, and there is more boy than girls in our class, but the votes for the boys had to split up into fourths, yet mine were all the girl's votes. I had it all ready until the vice principal made a rule that is a part of the "Me, Me , Generation" (see my mom's blog a few posts back), and the rule is that you could vote for as many as people you'd like for Class Rep. Caitlin is the main Rep, while her secretary is a boy, and A boy in my class is Rep, while my other major competition is secretary.

The Class Rep... Nice Picture Caitlin. Wavy Hair and a Robe does it all.

One of the Chain Letters I really Enjoyed-

A Child's View of Thunderstorms
A little girl walked to and from school daily. Though the weather that morning was questionable and clouds were forming, she made her daily trek to the elementary school. As the afternoon progressed, the winds whipped up, along with lightning. The mother of the little girl felt concerned that her daughter would be frightened as she walked home from school and she feared the electrical storm might harm her child. Full of concern, the mother quickly got into her car and drove along the route to her child's school. As she did she saw her little girl walking along. At each flash of lightning, the child would stop, look up, and smile. Another and another flash of lighting followed quickly and with each the little girl would look at the streak of light and smile. When the mother's car drew up beside the child she lowered the window and called to her 'What are you doing?' The child a answered 'I am trying to look pretty because God keeps taking my picture.'

May God bless you today and everyday as you face the storms that come your way...

So, I have been bored lately, especially today because it has been raining. The last time it rained, it blew through a cold front! It has been pretty chilly (brr!-to me at least).
Any who, I'm going to post a video soon of Caitlin and I finally mastering our flip and landing it, also of me FINALLY landing my Front Handspring- YEAH!

Ok, now, my mind went blank, and I don't know what to write about :)

Oh, and one more thing...

Back Again...

I've been trying to post for a while, but even with 2 classes, I've got a lot of homework and projects, so does Caitlin, because we are in switch classes, so we have the same teachers, same homework, and same projects, (which is really helpful). Well, we have been spending time with the Taylors :) and here are some pics. of the fun times:

Anyhow, Caitlin and I are doing a service for the street and neighbors, a dog walking service. We have made flyers (<----Is that spelled right?)on Microsoft Publisher, also we made a blog. So, we'll let you know how that goes. We are trying to save up for a Nintendo DS Lite, Like this:

OK, so tomorrow is a half day and we have Monday off, so maybe I'll have time to upload my pictures from my camera and post about stuff. Oh, yeah, and by the way, my Toe is fine (If you look back at my last post, you will know what I'm talking about)

Yes, I'm Here...

Since school has started, life has been CRAZY! They pack you with homework from the first day to the last. I would of blogged during the hurricane, but there was almost no way, so here I am now. I want to say (a very belated) Congratulations to Fionna for finishing up chemo and being Cancer-Free! Anyway, I had a hard time surviving the Storm and had a little issue that I couldn't play Mario Kart the first few days we didn't have the generator, but I would have to admit: I AM ADDICTED TO MARIO KART. Caitlin and I would explore and find ways to see the power lines, and we finally found one. Our old neighbors moved out, so we would go through their backyard, and we would climb the fence and "Wal-la!" you are right in front of the power lines. We would go check daily, and see if they had done anything, truthfully, the only thing that I thought changed was that the grass had gotten greener, but besides that nothing had changed over the past 2 weeks until they came. When we were climbing the fence, I fell off and hurt my toe. Some say its Broken, some say its sprained but you know, I will live.

Off to School, No time for Blogging-

Everyone,

Since I'm going to school in 3 days, I will not be around for a while. It's kinda nerve racking when you are thinking in your head: Lockers, a New School, New Teachers, New Time, New Year, New People, New Friends, and so on. So, just so you know I wont't be around much but I will be Totaly be back next Summer.

Best Wishes,

Courtney

Up in Iowa....

In Iowa, there is so much to do! First we went to a water park, because belive it or not- Its hot up there. There was 3 waterslides, and lot of fun stuff like a Lazy River. I went on the Waterslides with Grant, my dad, and Caitlin. It ws really fun we would do trick off the waterslide and stuff. We didnt get many photos because you had to have a "Photo Pass" but we snuck a few.

We just kind of hung around after we went to see and do everything.

We had a Crazy Cousins Club, climbed trees, played outside, ate ice cream, and swam.

Field of Dreams

Sorry I have not updated in a while, Ive been really busy getting ready for school.

I would have to say Field of Dreams was so cool. We watched the Movie before we went. We acted out some scenes. I loved disappearing through the Corn Fields, then "having a catch with my dad."

Mall of America

Mall of America Sign

While we are here in Iowa, we decided to go visit the Mall of America. We drove for 31/2 hours until we finally got there. On the way there, we stopped for lunch and saw this truck with a trailer filled with over 1000 empty cans of soda. It was so cool! At Mall of America we got lots of souvieners and rode the Nicklodien Univerise rides over and over! I went on this rollercoaster with Grant, Mom, Dad, Caitlin, and Victoria where you would climb to the top of the celing then drop straifght down, do a loop-de-loop drive really funny around then do a corkscrew.

Here is some pictures:

This is the trailler that was filled with cans.

Here is at Lego Land
